Real-World Use Information

National Match shooters and target handloaders choose to buy accurate 2520 powder in stock because it meters smoothly into shell cases. In fact, loading heavy 62-grain to 80-grain match bullets in .223 Remington becomes fast and consistent because the fine ball granules drop with sub-grain accuracy. Furthermore, its tailored burn rate operates within the strict pressure threshold limit required for semi-automatic M14 and M1A gas systems. Consequently, your rifle cycles cleanly while delivering tight downrange shot groups.

Compatibility & Requirements

• Cartridge Compatibility: Excels in .308 Winchester, .223 Remington match loads, 6.5 Grendel, .30-30 Winchester, and 8mm Mauser.

• Metering & Tool Compatibility: Spherical geometry flows effortlessly through standard rotary powder measures, digital tricklers, and progressive press bushings.

• Safety Requirement: Always check current load data from Accurate Powders or trusted reloading manuals, starting at the lowest suggested charge weight.

Pros & Limitations

Pros:

• Camp Perry Proven: Earned a legendary reputation for target accuracy in high-power service rifle competition.

• Smooth Drop Flow: Ball shape allows ultra-exact charge weights through standard mechanical powder measures.

• Heavy Match Performance: Drives heavy 62gr to 80gr .223 projectiles with flat trajectories and high speed.

• Gas-System Safe: Operates within the safe port pressure threshold for M14 and M1A semi-automatic rifles.

Limitations:

• Heavy Bullet Focus: Works best with heavy projectiles in .223 Rem rather than ultra-light varmint bullets.

• Magnum Unsuitable: Burn rate is too fast for large-capacity magnum cases (.300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua).
